Fan Art Friday #16 Humans?!

Heyas all!
Today we have some more wonderful fanart from around the internet, including our first submission ever with Billy & Kate! Really, they do not gizmo_sketch.jpgget much respect in the fanart community. Then again, it probably isn’t too exciting to draw a couple plain ol’ humans when you can draw Gremlins and Mogwai…

Anyways, remember that christmas is just around the corner, and when you have recovered from your “Black Friday” shopping, to send in those holiday-related fan art thingies, so we can share the joys of a Green Christmas with the whole world!

As for me, I will now return to my thanksgiving leftovers and see if I can decipher just where we are in relation to Clinpf-A of the Beehive Pollux.

Oh, before I forget, there has been some cleanup done on various sections of the site, as well as a new section called “The Films” where there will be general information regarding the Gremlins movies.

Fan Art Friday, Christmas Traditions, & Gremlins in 3D!

Hey Everybody!

It is Friday, and another fantabulous Fan Art Friday is here, and we have two new submissions to sate your thirst for…..well, gremlins fan art!sportsgremlinut5.png
We have a Sports gremlin, drawn psychotically by Harley S, a returning Fan-artsy-person, and the first of a couple submissions by Luis P done in Paint!

Now I know the title probably got you all excited for a Gremlins 3D film, but as some of you may remember, one of our readers, known as Matt, made a CGI Gremlin model a while back. Well, now he has the finished fully rendered Gremlin for display on his website, as well as an awesome picture inspired by the first gremlins film!

http://matt-painter.co.uk/ Hop on over and see what he has cooked up! Keep in mind these were done from scratch using 3D modeling tools on his computer, and are in no way related to any past ,present, or future official Gremlins Product! I have received some concerned emails regarding his previous effort, saying it was from “the making of Gremlins” or something, and I can assure you it is his own product. This says quite a bit for his skill, when people confuse it with the genuine product from a film. You hear that, Warner Bros? Hire him to get this supposed CGI Gremlins film done right!

Anyways, I do have to apologize for the lack of updates, but the reasoning is twofold. Firstly, there has not been much action on the Gremlins front in quite some time, even the merchandising has slowed to a crawl. This means there is not much to post on a regular basis, and what does come through is often uncorroborated rumor.

Secondly, and more importantly, my wife and I are having a little gremlin of our own soon, so we have been getting prepared for this momentous (and rapidly approaching) occasion, and many hobbies have been shifted to the back seat.

Those things said, Do Not Fear! Gremlins Online is not going anywhere, and if plans go through as….uhm…planned, 2008 should be a great year for Gremlins Online and Gremlins in general!

Christmas is coming soon, and that means it is time to break out the DVD/VHS/Betamax/Laserdisc of our favorite Holiday movie, SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS!  Er….I mean GREMLINS! (Though Santa Conquers The Martians is a fantastic holiday cheese wheel of film!!)

So watch gremlins a few times and get inspired! Send in some Holiday-Themed Gremlins Fan Art and we can have an awesome Fan Art Friday on Tuesday, December 25! (Which really makes it a Fan Art Tuesday)

I have been keeping my eyes open for new Gremlins T-Shirt designs that usually launch around this time of year, but there has not been much happening there.

We shall see where the winter winds take us!

Fan Art Friday #12 Old School NES Mohawk

One of our first submissions for Fan Art Friday came from Nuthacker on October 6, 2006, now, six months later, he returns with a picture that just plain blows me away

As you can see, it is Mohawk in all his orangey pixelated glory from Gremlins 2: The New Batch for Nintendo Entertainment System. What is so spiffy about this one that makes me tingle with excitement? Click on the pic to go to the Fan Art Fridays section to get a better look!

Scribbleking exclusive interview & Fan Art Friday #11

Heyas all!

Today we have a special after-midnight snack courtesy of Scribbleking.
About a week ago I recieved an email from Patrick, who runs the Scribbleking.com website, telling me that he has enjoyed Gremlins Online and would like to do an interview with me for his site. I gladly obliged, and after a few emails full of questions back and forth, a quite lengthy interview was born.

You can read the interview and a ton more movie info at: http://www.Scribbleking.com

Of course, we cannot forget about Fan Art Friday! This week we feature another fantastic gremlins tattoo, this time gracing the skin of CruelRealities.
