EXCLUSIVE! Interview With Sacha Feiner, creator of the Gremlins Mash-up Fan Film!
THE FILM – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REGCV6z3VkM
A: First of all, thanks for your invitation. I hope my written english will be ok! I’ll briefly talk of my career: I made graphic communication studies, and was graduated in 2005. I didn’t like it that much but I succeeded in diverting it to cinema and animation;

my graduate project was an interactive political sci-fi animated movie. After that, I made several short movies and cartoons, also working as a graphist. My first big professional work (but still personal), the one I am the most proud of today, was the “World In Progress” series, that was played before each screening at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in 2007 (you can watch that series on Youtube – type “sacha feiner”). After co-directing a recut trailers series last year, a very interesting editing exercise, I am now making another more personal series for 2009, but it is still in pre-production so I shouldn’t talk too much! Same thing for my first long feature, which french producers are interested in…
(The rest of the interview follows after the break!)
INCREDIBLE! Gremlins Fan Sequence Finished!
Here it is, it is finally ready to be shown to the world!
As has been mentioned before, one of our readers, Sacha Feiner, has ben hard at work making this beyond amazing fan sequence!
Before we get to the video, please let me reiterate, this is a FAN MADE VIDEO, this has absolutely no relation to anything official on Gremlins 3 or any of the Gremlins films.
This sequence is meant to take place during the “movie break” scene in Gremlins 2, since there was a series of scenes in this slot in the VHS and Theatre versions, but never one for the DVD releases.
Enjoy!
I hope to get an interview with Sacha after he returns from his trip to Japan.
If you have any questions, please put them in the comments and I will ask him when I can!
Gremlins Fan Sequence. BEYOND AMAZINGNESS!
This was designed by one of our readers nicknamed “The Bat Gremlin”, and takes one of the most creepy scenes in “The Exorcist” and throws gremlins into the mix! This clip is incredibly professional looking and quite a start for a fan project! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
Unfortunately we cannot embed the video within the site, but feel free to follow the link and check out the awesomeness!
Who knows, maybe the gremlins will pop up in other movies soon…..Keep checking back to see what they are up to!
Gremlins Vs BT Commercial: Behind The Scenes!
Here we have a bit more information on this awesome commercial which is actually brand new!
It seems all the gremlins were created from scratch, and were inspired obviously by the Gremlins from the first movie!
The befuddled office worker is played by the incredibly talented British entrepreneur Peter Jones. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Jones_%28entrepreneur%29)
According to the behind the scenes, the commercial was scheduled for debut on May 5, 2008, but it seems to have been released online early!
More updates as we get them!
(Thanks to all that sent this tip in!)
Huge News! Authentic Gremlins In British IT Commercial!
This is HUGE!

Did you look? WOW!
This is a relatively new commercial, most likely from this year, so we can assume it was made in 2007.
Here is what is interesting:
- The gremlins seem to be a mix of traditional puppet/wire effects and some CGI for the full body effects.
- The music is directly from the movie, the same goes for the gremlin “voices”
- The gremlins are designed after the Chris Walas Gremlins from the first film, with the green and brown look, as opposed to the tan and brown gremlins from the second film.
- Stripe can be clearly seen while they are leaving the elevator.
- The elevator is quite adequately lit, apparently someone didn’t check their facts before writing this…we can forgive them on this one.
- The gremlins seem a bit shorter than usual, which must have been a creative decision.
Why did they choose the REAL gremlins as opposedto some nameless “gremlins” or monsters that other commercials have used? Who did the work on this? If anyone finds anything out about this, we would LOVE to know As Soon As Possible.
For those of you “across the pond”, does this commercial air regularly? Do people talk about it?
Special Thanks to Adam H. and the others that wrote in for bringing this to our attention!
