Fan Art Friday #9 & #10: Gremlins in the Interwebs!
I kept checking the wiring, the connections in the basement, and even outside by the cable box…but no gremlins were to be found, so I am at a loss on how to explain the last week’s random internet issues I have been having.
These issues kept my normally speedy connection down to something that reminded me of connecting to MUDS and BBS systems years and years ago. Somehow I snuck an upload in, so the fan art page was updated last friday, but I couldn’t get to post an update about it, so here it is, better late than never.
On the second of Februrary, I put up #9, byinfernoslight‘s art that he made for his girlfriend. What did he exactly come up with? I could explain it, but that would take some of the fun of the surprise away, now wouldn’t it?… (insert evil laughter here)
Today’s submission is Xax by Marsw, one of her own creations. She actually has a few different gremlins and mogwai that she has backstory and everything for, and hopefully we will get the opportunity to learn more of what dwells in her mind in the near future.

Spider-man? What is he doing in Fan Art Friday?
Now that the gremlins have seemingly relinquished their hold on my internet connection (for the moment), expect to see a few new pages popping up very soon, with some new content never before explained in depth.
Quick side note: I have recently submitted Gremlins Online to Technorati, so if you are a regular reader, feel free to add us to your favorites on Technorati. The more people that view and favorite the blog, the higher the ranking and the better Gremlins Online’s visibility is.
There are a lot of people out there looking for gremlins stuff online, and the goal of Gremlins Online is to be your first and last stop for everything gremlins related.
Japanese Gremlins Toy Update!
As 2006 winded down, I thought the same as many, that 2007 would be slow on news and new Gremins Merchandise
So far, I am proud to state that I was incredibly wrong.
Left to right: Black and white Stripe, Gangster Gremlin, and Regular/Normal Gremlin.
These are the three newest additions to the increasingly breathtaking Japanese-only gremlins ranks.
On Friday, I mentioned one of our readers, Andrew informed me of these figures, but I had not seen the Regular Gremlin toy, so he sent me some fantastic photos of it, along with the B&W Stripe and the previous versions of Stripe that were released by Jun Planning.

Furious Fingerwork!
Doing my usual rounds of the popular video sharing sites out there, I came across another new Fan-made video that reminds us how influential everything gremlins-related has been on our artists.
cybernick666 from France shows off his skills by playing the memorable music from the first stage of Gremlins 2: The New Batch for NES. I have sent him a message, asking if he has, or will be doing any music in the future from Gremlins, so hopefully we will hear more great work from him.
This is something I wish I could do myself, play the keyboard. Well, any instrument really…but I know that the Gremlins Rag would be one of the first songs I would be butchering with my amateur abilities.

Movin’ On Up!
I was just checking the incoming links and noticed Gremlins Online is listed #93 of todays “Blogs of The Day”!
http://botd.wordpress.com/2006/12/23/growing-blogs-243/
That is pretty awesome, today #93…tommorow, who knows, Gremlins Online could be…….#92!
Also, a note in response to a few emails and noticing the search terms that have brought some people here, you will not find the full movie of Gremlins or Gremlins 2: the new batch here. Nor will you find links to streaming versions of them, which apparently exist.
Look, the movies can be found in almost any format, for less than 15$….cheaper if you buy them used, or buy them together!
Just go out, buy them, or rent them from your local video store.
If you are a fan of Gremlins, I really feel it is best that you support the filmmakers and show them that there is a market for Gremlins 3, and that will not happen if everyone just downloads the movies. Vote with your wallets folks!
Buy Gremlins 1 AND 2 for cheap at amazon.com!
(For those who don’t want to look up the info themselves.)

I just want to make sure that we are doing our part to encourage the studios to continue with our favorite film franchise, and they will only do that if they see that we will spend good money on a feature film!
