Where did Gremlins Online go for years?

Heyas all, there has been a ridiculous uptick in Gremlins information in the last few weeks.
With the confirmation of Gremlins 3 in 2027, plus the discovery of what may be an early 2+ hour cut of the 1984 film, Gremlins fans are being spoiled left and right.
But this isn’t the first exciting news for Gremlins fans in the last couple years. We got an animated series on HBO Max that brought Gremlins to a younger generation and even a Mountain Dew commercial featuring Zach Galligan reprising his role as Billy.

Why didn’t I write about these things?
Well honestly, I burned out trying to stay inspired a while back. Everything shifted to instant and unverified stories for clicks and views. By the time traditional bloggers could get verification of a story or even type up something nuanced, dozens of videos and speculatory tweets/skeets/posts/reddits were already jumping on any Gremlins rumors with more and more dramatic aplomb.
There was also a lot of gatekeeping and “one true scotsman”-ing in the Gremlins community which was a huge turn-off.

But then Ian shared the info of the tapes that may contain something special. I started getting a lot of messages from long time readers that wanted to know what I knew on this subject, and why I hadn’t posted about it.

The reason is simple: there’s not a lot to say beyond “some tapes exist that may have gremlins footage” and that doesn’t get anyone super excited to read nor is it algorithm-friendly.

But it did reconnect me with some long-time friends in the Gremlins community, and I have gotten to discuss my favorite movie franchise without worry of being “too much”.

I realized that a lot of people need that when Gremlins is among their Special Interests like myself, and I figure I can post reliable and verified information as it comes up for those that still care and want to avoid the sensational sides of the internet.

What does it all mean?

I plan on writing more for the site, and bringing in some other volunteers that will share their creations or gremlin-related content.
Gremlins Online will continue to be a primarily Gremlin-focused site, but it will also be a place where I blog like we all used to.

Gremlins and mental health are intertwined to me, and there is no reason I shouldn’t share that as well.

Plus it gives me more excuses to color and share the coloring stuff.

I have been coloring a lot lately to help decompress most nights, and being able to color Gremlins is really fun, now that I know how to occasionally color within the lines. I’ll be sharing that here, and I would love to share more of others gremlins-related works. More importantly I’d like to know how Gremlins affects you and maybe some memories along with those creations.

As time goes on I plan to fix up all the links and pages to be a bit more modern in flow, and probably will add/remove sections as well.

That’s about it for now, and I never know how to close these types of posts……
