Gremlins Vs BT Commercial: Behind The Scenes!

Here we have a bit more information on this awesome commercial which is actually brand new!
It seems all the gremlins were created from scratch, and were inspired obviously by the Gremlins from the first movie!
The befuddled office worker is played by the incredibly talented British entrepreneur Peter Jones. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Jones_%28entrepreneur%29)
According to the behind the scenes, the commercial was scheduled for debut on May 5, 2008, but it seems to have been released online early!

very cool, now we are ready for a new GREMLINS film. Got me thinking, and so I posted my thoughts on my blog above.

I write you this mail, about something that will interest you, and that you can publish if you want. If so, I’ll be happy to give you more info as the project goes on and to provide you the exclusivity of that information.
I am planning to make a fan alternate sequence for the Gremlins 2 DVD version; the moment when the film breaks, that had an adaptation for the videocassette but not for the DVD.
I’ll work with puppets, that will be multiplied on screen, with professionnally (after post-production) fully animated heads, eyes, eyelids, ears, mouths, arms, hands… there are chances that it will be a real shock in the Gremlins community… maybe more than the BT ad (which is really good but which has no script imagination; it just shows what the movies already showed us and I hope to succeed in making something more unexpected). I want to do this for ten years!!! The goal is to impress the guys who made that commercial as well as Warner Brothers, and, who knows, they should hire me for Gremlins 3 (or remake which seems very upcoming)… that is the goal anyway!!!
I already sent you a picture so that you see a little bit of the beginning. If you want, I’ll send you making of pictures and screen tests, step by step as I progress.

The BT gremlins advery is great! It shows on the TV over here in the UK fairly regularly and there are currently billboards featuring Peter Jones at his desk with a gremlin tied to a desk lamp next to him! Check out more photos here:
