{FOGO} Black Nerd Comedy -7 Things I Hate About Mario

Heyas All!

Welcome to the newest feature to grace Gremlins Online, “Friends Of Gremlins Online”, a semi-regular feature where I will be sharing something super neato from a site or person that is a Friend of Gremlins Online. We have lots to come in the coming weeks, so be sure to check back often!

This week, we have regular reader, Andre Meadows. Better known as “The Black Nerd” from the excellent http://blacknerdcomedy.com who is one of the biggest Gremlins fans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and wears his Gremlins fandom with pride. Take a look around his site and try not to find Gizmo or a Gremlin somewhere…. Even Gangsta Gizmo makes guest appearances in his videos!

The video that I am sharing with you today is “7 Things I Hate About Mario” which is a nice and short light hearted rant on things Andre hates about Mario. (Who’d have thunk?)

Check out his site and keep an eye here for an upcoming interview with Andre and Gremlins Online!

What do you think of his style of comedy? Did you catch Gangsta Gizmo? You might get CUT!

Are  you a Friend of Gremlins Online? Shoot me an email and you might find yourself the next featured Friend Of Gremlins Online!

Till next time, take care folks!

Third 3G Poster unveiled! Nostalgia abounds!

Hey folks I just got an email from the folks at the 3G Art Show and they have released the third poster  for the event running September 3-22 in Los Angeles, CA.

For those who missed the last post on the show, the Autumn Society & Gallery is putting on an art gallery featuring art that was inspired by three iconic 80’s movies. Specifically, Ghostbusters, Gremlins and Goonies.

All three of these films captured the imagination of  audiences, young and old alike and still have a strong presence in Pop Culture to this day. Of course the thing that caught my eye was the Gremlins portion, however I have a soft spot in my hollowed-out shell of a heart that is reserved for Ghostbusters and Goonies. Growing up in the 80’s as Hulk Hogan reminded me to Say My Prayers and Eat My Vitamins, Gremlins and Ghostbusters for the most part were the two films that enamored me more than anything. They were movies that took the subject matter seriously, and played it straight while having humor intertwined with frightening or creepy scenes.  Goonies was never as huge of an influence on me personally, but it did have a special slot on my VHS shelf dedicated to that childhood dream of perilous adventure.

(more blogging and pictures and art and stuff past the break! Read more! Be enthralled!)

Sacha Meets Mohawk the Spider Gremlin

Regular contributor Sacha Feiner was in Tokyo and found this 70% Scale Spider Gremlin at Mandrake’s. No word yet on if this legendary piece was for sale…but we all know we want it badly.

Click on the pic to get a good look at this ridiculously epic model.

I want to hear from you folks now. What would you pay for a piece like this? 100$ $1,000? Your first born child and a plate of strawberries?
